Barbara's dog photographs are strikingly recognizable for their attention to detail and the use of the environment and natural lighting to enhance the beauty of her subjects. The style of her photography developed at the start of her career while traveling in Kenya on a photo safari.
Barbara has a vision of what she knows is within her subjects that will enable her to create the ultimate image. It may be a barely perceptible and momentary tilt of the head, set of the ears, or look in the eyes. She says that the best images are created when you have the patience to wait for that moment and recognize it when it occurs.
The demand for Barbara's dog images has become so great that photographing dogs has become her full-time career. She lives in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where the change of seasons and lovely countryside serve as the background for most of her photography.
